Hacking r4 ds v1.10 update

do anyone know what features are on the new firmware just installed it and was wondering what does the r in the top right corner which changes to red and green

Update R4 v1.10 kernel 2007-6-20
1) DLDI auto-patching
2) Solved the 1111 and 1151 save problem.

The thing with the red/green R thing indicates if soft reset is enabled(Changed with the R button..duh ;P). If green you can use L+R+A+B+X+Y in a game to go back to the R4 menu.

Download. Extract. Copy. Paste.

delete the _DS_MENU.DAT and _DS_MENU.SYS, download the new firmware and put it on the SD card.

are you sure? because when i extract the file there is only ds_menu.dat and ds_mshl.nds

Yes. _DS_MENU.SYS is created after you start the firmware for the first time.
Just overwrite ds_mshl.nds

It doesn't need to go online for that. It simply checks for markers in the file that identify it as needing DLDI patching.

hey guys, im using the chinese version so i may not be able to get much help, but zelda: PH is freezing on me as soon as i get on the boat. anyone else have that problem? did i just get a bad dump?

confirmed! chinese 1.10 crashes after getting on the boat.
