I would like to know if the R4 DS SDHC is any good, i have ordered it from nds-card.com, but just want to know how well it works, etc.

I would also like to know some good DS games for me to buy.

I am not using the R4 for pirating, just to play backup games and moonshell.

I also am using it for only DS games, not DSi or others.
Just DS games and maybe moonshell.
It should at least work for those right?

Well kernel updates are needed for game compatibility and firmware updates are needed for DSi/3DS updates.

Well, then if i don't update because i have a DS Lite, and DS games aren't being released anymore (mostly) i should be fine right?
With the exception of the new release games.

Is the flashcard like this one?
R4-SDHC.jpg

click here to see another image

Check the website www.r4sdhc.com notice how it doesn't have an "i", "3ds", "ds" or something like that

I have this card and i must say is the best flashcard for the DS (not 3DS neither DSi), sadly the developer just forgot it and you must use the retro's files to play almost every single game or you can use a special Wood made for this card, and it has a good compatibility with homebrew specially monshell 2.0 but i think you must find it somewhere else or from their website

Yes, i believe it is that one, i haven't got my card yet, it is in transit.
Here is a link to the one i ordered: http://www.nds-card.com/ProShow.asp?ProID=143

The box picture may be different, but it think it is the same.
Would you mind keeping in touch until i get my card?
I may need some help setting up the firmware.

No that's not the same, you both have different clones. r4sdhc.com versus r4i-sdhc.com (the i and hyphen).

Aurionfox, your clone's site isn't even up anymore.

Ajaay, your clone's team is well-known for dropping updates when they make a new cart.

Both are bad products and you shouldn't have bought them. This is why we have stickies.

I became a member of this forum after i ordered it :P
I hope that it will at least work somewhat, if not like the real ones.

It'll work, but the problem is for how long.

As in with new games?
Because there are barely and new DS games coming out :D
I will just use it for mariokart/pokemon, etc.
Of course i have to buy them first.

Or do you mean it just stops to work after a while?

Some clone carts have timeouts in their software where they stop working after a certain date (to make sure you update the software every so often), but the problem is if there's no new updates...

That's relatively rare lately and the R4-SDHC team doesn't appear to do that, the main concern nowadays is that there's always DSi/3DS updates (if your DSi or 3DS updates past what the cart is, the cart won't work anymore).

My main concern, however, is to stop people from buying shit products, because then they recommend those shit products to other people in different situations.

Right. Dont worry, i will not reccomend it.
I will just use it for my DS Lite and be happy. :D

Strange, last week i cannot access to their site, but now it's fully functional and i can download the latest and old firmware (30.4Mb) but that's not necessary because Retro made the YSMenu and the original firmware on the same package, the original firmware is only neccesary if you want some other tools like moonshell 2.0 and some homebrew i think, i know it's a really old flashcard but i can run every single game with YSMenu and thanks to the Wood version somewhere here on the temp i can connect some games to my Wii (for example Pokemon Soul Silver with Pokemon Colloseum), pretty good for an old card

Ajaay Shinde sorry but your card doesn't seem to be a good one, your card is a "R4-SDHC Upgrade", not a "R4SDHC" maybe you can run YSMenu but it's not a good card that's for sure

I would like a Predator game "Kill Team" it takes place in the Jungle of the first movie, your team is sent to hunt the predator, using current tech drones and a trained team. Set traps use strategy to hunt and trap or kill the predator.

I went today and looked at a motorcycle someone was selling. I get there and the battery on it was dead, so the guy grabbed a battery charger and hooked it up. He plugged it into the wall, and the motorcycle sparked and started smoking. Come to find out the bike uses a 6 volt battery and the guy had the charger set to 12v. I said sorry to the dude and walked away. I felt bad for him tho.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
He ruined it basically. Sad cause it was a decent old bike. It would take more money to rewire the bike than it was worth tho.
