ROM Hack r4 cart problem with 3ds

normally you just push the cart into the slot and that's it

but there is some problem with my r4i cart:
if i push it on the center the cart jumps back, i need to push the cart on the far left side to get it stuck, occasionally my 3ds cant read the cart unless i reinsert it again

any tips?
