Hacking R4 and Dealextreme

Hi,

I got my RD from DX a while back and now a friend wants one. I remember DX stopped selling them for some legal reasons and that VolumeRate would sell them on their behalf but i cant see it there either now.

All i can see is this toptoy card or something - what's the deal with that!?

Does anyone know if DX will be selling them again?

don't think they are "due to worldwide shortage"

You could grab an M3 Real or a TopToyDS from dealextreme and be OK. Check GBATemp's reviews to see which one is more to your liking.

Volumerate have stopped selling them until they can get R4s. I got 3 DSTT (Top Toy) through this morning and I think they are better made than the M3 Real (one of which I have seen crack through normal use) and seem to work well, much faster than the M3 Real and with a better GUI. Will update once my 5 yr old son has stress tested one for a month or so. The R4 is still a great flash cart though, shame it doesn't do SDHC like the others.

got mine from http://leetmod.com/ came quick, no problems at all, even sent them an email and got a response.

I purchased mine, then noticed that the stock was -22, then the next day it was -59

still got it on time though.

Just checked their site, they have them in stock, but it looks like the price went up, when I got it they were having a special, r4 and 2G microSD for 59.99.

They apparently arent doing that anymore, but it looks like they are doing it with another card, so, look into that.

These guys are legit, and pretty quick. I would buy from them again.
