Ok I had some questions about GC linux first will it be able to run Mugen? And does the newly released SNES emulator support rom hacked games? if anyone can answer me these two questions that would be great

I'm not familiar with GC linux or Mugen but I can answer your second question. Yes, the SNES emulator can run hacked games at full speed. I can run hacks like SMW2+2 or Brutal Mario on my Wii with no problems.

I didn't know they made an MSU cart for the Genesis.... I knew about the SNES one and the library for that is rather large but the Genesis one has very few games+1

An FPGA could probably replicate the chip's functionality without buying donor parts.+1

Like not emulating the entire SNES but just a loader and the enhancement chips perhaps even slightly overclocked like FX-2
