Hacking Quick question about playing local/online with friends.

So i have searched about this topic and found a thread about 1 year ago but i want to know if it still works. My question is : Can a modded OG/NEW 3DS play local/online with someone who didnt mod his 3DS?. Im asking this because i already have a 3DS and i want to buy a second one for cheaper (from japan for example) and mod it to be both region free and have games. So would i be able to play local with my friend/family member using my non-modded 3DS or do i also need to mod my other 3DS for it to work?

As far as I know modding the 3DS doesn't change anything for online/local play capabilities, it just works the same. The only different thing is that in online play you could get banned if you use cheat softwares. Otherwise than that, it's just the same as a normal 3DS

Yes it works, i sometimes play MH4U and MK7 with a friend who didn't mod his 2DS with my modded N3DSXL.
