https://www.mediafire.com/file/r3rdysh5ancsso8/mame-wii_plugin.zip/file

it should work with your 0.134 rom set.
put your roms in usb:/mame/roms

although my roms are on SD and i never tried USB.
Hi there @fledge68

Sorry if i ask you but could you share the source code of that mod of MAME-Wii 1.0 for WiiFlow for try to include that modification of code on a fork of that MAME-Wii which i'm increasing the limit of romsets to 10000?

And could you also tell what specific versions of devkitPPC, libOGC, portlibs, etc. needed for compile MAME-Wii? Thanks :)

I did not write or mod mame-wii. mame-wii has been included in wiiflow plugin packs for a long time. even before @Wiimpathy 's mame 2003+ cores. It was written by Toad king and was originally sdl-mame-wii. the last commit he rewrote the front end code and now it no longer uses SDL. more info and a link to the source on google codes can be found here - https://wiibrew.org/wiki/MAME_Wii

after some searching I found the original post by Wiimpathy here - https://gbatemp.net/threads/wiiflow-an-open-source-gui-usb-loader.204106/post-4634758
he provides the plugin and source downloads. with some google search you can even find sdl-mame-wii forks on github if you prefer git to svn. you just need to change that one line of code wiimpathy changed in wiimain.c.

i booted up my wii after letting it lay dormant for a few years, and i found out the homebrew channel is on it, but the sd card i used is long lost, is there a way to uninstall the channel and then reinstall it on a newer sd card?

First, get a new sd card and test it with h2testw, to check it's not faulty or defective. If it passes the test, format it as FAT32 32KB cluster size. If it doesn't, you should get another one.
After doing that, get the Homebrew Channel files from here and put them on the Apps folder (create one yourself) on the root of the sdcard. You should put the syscheck files too to check if your softmods are outdated or lacking.
Plug it back, click on the Homebrew Channel, and do a syscheck and post it here.

Is there any difference in 480P output between a PAL and an NTSC wii?
Whenever loading from disks (respecting system menu settings) or when using a USB loader to force a video mode?

There shouldn't be.

You don't need to force the video mode to a different region, just set it to default /per game. When using component, it should handle both NTSC and PAL signals, given that your tv is capable of displaying both, which is most likely the case since you're using component..
Though make sure you have "region free games" and other settings enabled in Priiloader, like it shows here.
Use this version of USBLoaderGX by @blackb0x btw.

I have installed homebrew, d2x cIOS and usb loader gx with an SD card and a 16GB flash drive. Everything works perfectly, but now I wanted more storage so I used my 250GB SSD. I format it to FAT32 and put the same games on it. Now usb loader gx recognises my drive but it says 0 games. It doesn't show any of my games, but when I plug the 16gb flash drive in, it works perfectly on it. What have I missed doing with my SSD to have it working with USB loader gx?

Make the ssd is in MBR format (not GPT) and has a primary partition.
The usb cable should be plugged in port 0,though if you have a y-cable you can test with it too.
Does the ssd pass the usb initiation phase without the countdown when you first launch USBLoaderGX?
Do games show up in WiiBackupmanager?
You should post a syscheck here just to be sure.

Thank you for the fast reply. I did a syscheck. usb loader gx loads with the ssd without the countdown. It opens in about 5 seconds, but then I get this blank screen.

What should I do?

From the syscheck i see that you don't have Priiloader installed on your system, and BootMii is missing too . Use either this guide to install both (Priiloader & BootMii), or you can just drop the syscheck in ModMii to do that, along with updating other stuff..
You should redo the cIOSs too, here's the guide (or do it in ModMii).
You have the choice to install BootMii as either IOS or as Boot2. And make a nand backup in BootMii and store it somewhere safe.

The stuff i'm telling you to do might not fix your issue, but it's always good to have all the softmods up to date before troubleshooting.
Back to your issue, are you transfering games with WiiBackupmanager or just manually?
Do these games appear in WiiBackupmanager? Can you verify the hash in WiiBackupmanager of atleast one game you have on there?
After you did all the above, you can try again on the Wii and see if anything changes.

Also this. ⬆️

Rename the folder from "games" to "wbfs".

Are there any mac os users who have encountered this issue? I have a 1TB WD Elements drive that I want to make two partitions on: a FAT32 for apps, GC games, and other stuff and a wbfs for wii games. The hard drive has to be in MBR scheme or the homebrew channel won't read any of the apps. Apple's disk utility won't let me make a second partition if the scheme is MBR, or at least I can't figure out how to do it.

Right now the drive is all FAT32 and nintendont works on its own but neither wii or gc shows up in usb loader gx, which I think makes sense.

What @XFlak said.
Does the hdd pass the usb initiation screen or not?
The hdd partition should be set to primary (not GPT).
Are you plugging the usb cable to port 0? Do you have a y-cable?
Did you transfer wbfs games with WiiBackupManager?
You should be using this modded version of USBLoaderGX by @blackb0x btw if you're not already.

usbloaders can use a fat32 drive for wii games, no need for a wbfs partition. If you use WiiBaFu or similar it should convert wii games to wbfs files and save them to a WBFS folder on your fat32 hdd
Thanks for the replies. So right now I am using just one FAT32 partition with a /wbfs and /games folder. I tried copying games over with witgui (mac version of wiibackupmanager) but had to manually search up the ID number since from what I read it seems like games need to be in the format /wbfs/NAME [ID6]/ID6.wbfs. The Wii games now show up in the modded usb loader gx that @CoolMe recommended.

So the main issues are just that GC games aren't showing up in USB Loader GX and I don't want to have to look up the ID6 for every game. The GC pathing is just games/game.iso and I have been poking around USB Loader's setting to ensure the pathing is right.
