Ive dl a gc game(star wars the clone wars) and when it was clear I get an dcm file what the heck is this?
Isn't it a gcm?
gcm is the same as iso, but for gamecube. They are called different but they are the same. You can burn gcm with imgburn or you can make a multidisc of them.

I would like to run Ghostbusters, but I have a few questions.

I'm looking to install NeoGamma.

1. Can I still use WiiGators Gamma if I install Neogamma?

2. I see that in order to run NeoGamma, I need to update my cIOS. I downloaded the "cIOSrev14 installer"...but its a little confusing to me. When I load it, it asks me to pick which IOS I want. I'm not sure which number IOS I should load. :/

I have a NTSC wii. I haven't messed with the IOS since I needed to, to install my backup launcher.

I'm at a loss here.

THANKS FOR THE HELP ANYONE!

just make a new folder in the apps folder for the new neogamma boot.dol so you can use both versions

ios249 is a safe ununused ios used by the loader to launch the game

1 yes u can but there is no point as neogammma is way better.

2. Just choose the default 249. All ur doing is choosing what ios ur using to be ably to install the cios.

does anyone know if this hard drive will work flawlessly with usb gx.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Western-Digital-WD...t/dp/B001GT7F84

i know it seems to be on the compatibility list, but i just want to know if anyone here has one,and there views.
as the hard drive i use at the moment is hit and miss and takes 15 seconds to be recognised if it gets recognised(now used in my pc).
thanks in advance

Greets all. Got USB Loader GX working fine for a while now and recently came up with some issues that I can't easily search for.

A few times the loader would say there is no HD, and when I swap USB ports and it finds it, it'll say that there's no partition here and it needs to be formatted.
I fixed this by turning off everything, plugging the HD into the port it wants and turning on the HD before the Wii.

Second issue i'm having is that when the SD card is inserted the loader will display the HD info but it will have an empty list of games. Removing the SD card and reloading will display all the games. That might be fine and well, but I can't apply any error 002 fixes without a recognizable SD card! Putting the card back in and reloading it will blank out the list again. The SD card and HD both load up normal in my PC. Strange thing is, this happened out of nowhere with no changes to hardware or software being made - so I have no clue. Search and Google didn't help.

And while we're asking questions: After having everything working, the SD card can be wiped for fresh use right? Considering everything that WAS on it has been installed...

how do I access the config menu in gamma loader? My no more heroes isn't working and I'm stuck at a green screen after gamma loader does things. Thanks in advance.

I have NeoGamma USB/DVD/SD Loader. Works with NTSC Wii games using DVD, USB, and SD. PAL also loads, but the screen is black and white and sucks. I've tried changing various settings related to region, but I either get a black or green screen. I have tried using a newer TV and older TV. What settings do I need to select, or what do I need to do to play PAL games correctly? I have RegionFrii, but that doesn't change the region completely on the iso file, only part way. The game code still ends in P. I am loading a PAL Wii game on an SDHC card.

Hey,
I have a problem with my softmodded Wii. Since I updated to 4.0 firmware, my backuploaders won't load games anymore. For example": with 3.3 I could load Guitar Hero: World Tour, but I didn't have a guitar then, so I couldnt play the game. I bought the guitar a few days ago with Guitar Hero III, but my Guitar Hero: World Tour back-up won't load anymore since I have 4.0 . In Gecko, I just get an error that there is no DVD. With back-uploader, it looks like the game is loading, but then my Wii reboots. I didn't have any of those problems with 3.3 with all my back-ups, and now I can't load one.

So I think I'm gonna downgrade to 3.3 . I heard that's possible? How can I do that? And do you think this is going to work for me? Or are there maybe other solutions, so I can still play those back-ups on 4.0? My Wii is PAL by the way.

Thank you very very much for help.

So I was thinking to softmod my Wii. And need answers on these two questions.

Is there any way to softmod with only a USB-stick (2gb)?

And if not: So if I MUST have a SD-card, do I need it in my Wii to play my backupgames via Disc channel? Or is it just needed when to install all the mods?

I was looking at the GCOS GameCube compatibility Wiki and noticed on the MGS:TS entry it says:
QUOTE said:
works on GCOS but need to burn each disc non-GCOS (direct) to properly switch discs mid-game
I don't get what it means exactly. If I burned the first disk plus a few other games (e.g. Pikmin 2 and Donkey Konga 2) to the same DVD and then burned the second disk for MGS:TS to a different DVD (with a few games on it as well) would the game work still?

My plan was to use the GCMUtility to shink the games, GCOS V4F to combine them to a single ISO and ImgBurn to burn them to a Tayio Yuden DVD-R. I have a softmodded Wii with the GameCube Backup Launcher v0.2 installed.

Would the games work in that situation or am I missing something?
