I was going all great with this section.

Section III - Configuring Luma3DS
  1. Hold select on boot to enter the Luma3DS menu
  2. Use the (A) button and the D-Pad to turn on the following:
    • “Autoboot SysNAND”
    • “Use SysNAND FIRM if booting with R”
    • “Show NAND or user string in System Settings”
  3. If you are using a New 3DS, you should also enable the following:
    • “New 3DS CPU” to “Clock+L2(x)”
    • This will increase the framerate of many games but may cause instability in others
    • If some games do not work properly, disable this option and try again
  4. Press Start to save and reboot
    • If you get a black screen, just continue to the next section

I just did the last step and it gave me the message. What can I do after this? I'm unable to "at least" boot.

EDIT: I am following/dowloading EVERYTHING that the Plailect's bible says so.

Oh, I figured it out.

This explains why everyone was ignoring me... I had to
  • If you get a black screen, just continue to the next section

    Hahaha...
If you did CTR Transfer 2.1.0, restore your NANDmin.bin

So if anyone googles the error and gets here, this should be normal.

I did an N3DS did the 2.0 ctr transfer, so just continue to the next step if you see that error.

Please tell me your 3DS model, version and region. I would like to know to test something out.

I counter the same thing after installing arm9loader, first i ignored it because they said just go the next section, so I'm restoring the system but I can't. It can't enter to hourglass9. I've reviewing and do the previous step over and over but no change. when i press start then power, its still the failed to mount ctrnand that shows up. Any idea what do I need to do? thx before

1. Do you have start_hourglass9.bin in luma/payloads?
- if yes, redownload it and try again
- if no, download it at try again
2. Try another SD card, or, test yours for errors using H2testw.

I'd like to point out the line directly after the segment the OP copy/pasted in the first post:
If you get a “Failed to mount CTRNAND” error, just continue to the next section
This happens because on New 3DS, the CTRNAND partition was re-encrypted with keyslot 0x04. Luma3DS doesn't handle that scenario.

You'll need to restore NANDmin.bin using HG9.

EDIT: Just noticed the age of the original post. Oh well.

Try Decrypt9 https://github.com/d0k3/Decrypt9/releases

Do the same thing but the CTR transfer files go on a folder called files9 and you have to go to sysNAND options -> CTR transfer -> auto

If it doesn't work also try forced
