Hacking Quick Bootmii question

Just about to install bootmii to backup nand before upgrading to 4.0 (just in case)

I have the hackmii installer ready on card, however does it require an internet connection as my Wii is not hooked up at the moment.
If it does is it possible to install offline similar to the hbc offline install?

Don't worry, you don't need an internet connection for hackmii. But how are you going to upgrade without a connection ??

Not sure yet, was hoping to find an offline guide for it. Managed to upgrade to 3.2 easily enough so hoping can do the same for 4.0

OK, loaded up the hackmii installer bea2 but the wii goes to black screen and thats it, have to unplug wii to get back to system menu. Do I need to leave it for a while or is something dodgy going on.
Have put installer in apps folder & renamed file to boot.elf

Fixed, teh installer had compatibility issues with gamecube pad so removing that loaded the installer fine.
