ROM Hack Questions on save editing

Ive extracted saves from Persona Q, Devils Survivor overclocked (and im assuming ill have the same issue with devil survivor 2 record breaker) and just trying to simply hex edit the amount of cash i have in those games but changing it corrupts the save. Is it a checksum or some other form of save protections? How do you fix it so that the edits will stick without corrupting the save?

Depending on your Console, old3DS / new3DS, i recommend trying ARCode or NTR CFW + Debugger.

4.5 sysnand old 3ds on 9.7 emunand. Which would be the best suggestion for that?

*edit* so if the ar code thing is a spider exploit would i need to downgrade my emunand(have backups of 7.1/8.1/9.0/9.4/9.5) or use a CFW? or is there a debugger for old 3ds?

old3DS is ARCode, if you are on 9.7.0, you need to downgrade your browser first to use it.

After the old Browser Version is up and runnign, you need to find your code or creaty it by yourself.

The site isnt working for me atm so gonna ask some questions on here til it does. I have devmenu 2.3.4 3ds and bigblue menu 3ds/cia would either of those work. In the process of finding 3dnus so dont have any questions on that yet. Also am i installing the browser version in sysnand i assume or would installing to either change the browser version?

Installing it to emuNAND is enough, you want to mount your games, or?

Take the right Region for your browser:

EUR: 0004003000009D02
US: 0004003000009402
JPN: 0004003000008802
Version: 4096

Hit the box > Change to Version to: 65534

Install this with your CIA installer (version is higher than your current, thats why it works).

Thanks a lot i got it working now. is the glitchery website down for you too? found some codes in the arcode page, should be easy enough to make money cheats, use cheat engine for simple cheats often enough. Thanks again for the help.

hmm wierd i try to connect it takes too long to respond, i use a proxy and it connects easily.
