Hardware Questions on a hardmod

alright so I recently went from a 4 pin JST port to a 6 pin Micro JST port, I got all the data lines except 3 wired up to a Transcend reader, it does a read rate of about 2.2 Mbp/s should I be getting a faster read rate?
