That all depends on what you want to spend. The original R4, which is about $7 on nds-card.com, runs Wood R4 and is excellent if you don't care about playing on the DSi or the 3DS.

There are cards like the R4 SDHC Dual-Core and the R4isdhc GOLD Pro that are $9 and $10 respectively, and they also work on all versions of the DSi and 3DS.

Original R4 by a long way, if non-HC cards are enough for you (they started becoming rare, but still can be found for a reasonable price)

R4i Gold (r4ids.cn, nothing else) if you need more than 2 GB (however there's a slightly higher risk the card will brick)

Is nds-cards.com reliable?
Yes!

Don't be fooled by the slow and under-the-table way they take Paypal or credit cards; that's because most of those payment methods have been lobbied by certain companies to ban people using them to sell console mods...

3 weeks and half, China to Italy, for both of those flashcards I recommend (separate orders, both with $2 shipping)

Don't buy their microSDs though, you can get better deals in computer retail stores :)

What is the current best flash cart to use on a DS Lite to PokeGen and PkHex GBA and DS Pokemon games?
It should be able to run ROM hacks also. Thanks!

Any of the flashcarts I mentioned above will work on the DS Lite, and they will all be good for using PokeGen and PKHex on DS Pokémon games. They're also good for ROM hacks.

If you want to run GBA games with it, however, the SuperCard DSTWO is recommended. It is going to be more expensive.

Edit: To be clear, you can emulate GBA games using any of the flashcarts I recommended above, but it won't be as good as on the SuperCard DSTWO.

I just recently received my DSTWO+. I have to set it up and update it's firmware? What should I do once I received it?

i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.

Free release can have loopholes where they still make money through ads
