Homebrew (Question) Switching emulators keeps save files?

Quick question, if I switch emulators from mGba to gbSP, will my old save files still work on gbSP?

If both use the same save(which usually they do and probably is .sav), it should work, just make sure you put the file where it has to be.

What it won't work is savestates

The file extension matters, but so does the save format. Google can lead you to emulator save converters if you do need one, so don't give up just because the formats differ.

That being said, back up your saves before converting and keep your old emulator around.
