Hacking Question regarding 2 games that black screen

Hi everyone,


I've done a lot of forum searches and have googled until my brain turned into mush. The issue I'm having is that out of 80 or so games on my USB HDD running in CFG USBloader, No More Heroes 2 and Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles boot straight to black screen. I've found topics that have similar issues, but I haven't really discovered any concrete "fix" to it.


I might also mention I'm using 249 r19 and I have 222 and 223 installed. I've tried changing every setting, ever. There was one post that said I may need to reinstall some particular IOS that the games use, but there wasn't much detail to that post. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I apologize for my ignorance in advance.

I'm using the same setup as you, and both games work.

Latest version of CFG, with default settings.

I think it may be an IOS problem.

Try installing IOS 53 with DOP-Mii or MultiModManager.

Another suggestion is:

Try to redump those two games. Maybe it could be bad isos.

IOS 53 reinstalled - no dice. Any other ideas?

got to be a bad rip then, most of the time blackscreen=bad rips.
