Ok, I'll try to explain as much as I know.
My friend had it console bricked (symptoms: when powered on, it does nothing but is slowly blinking with blue power indicator). That was occasional (faulty unit probably. It just didn't powered on one moment). We tried to fix it with the help of Nintendo tools (don't ask me about an access. Ever. It's too risky to talk about. I'll ask to delete this thread after resolving the question later) and it fails some checks related to vWii (namely, cIOSes and softmod). So, the question: is there a way to wipe vWii data or restore vWii NAND via hardware? If so, are there any instructions? Thanks in advance.

I can't do it myself because reasons. He can but he won't.
Anyways, is there any hope? Can the old vWii NAND backup be restored via hardmod?
AFAIK, the vWii and the WiiU mode NANDs must be created at same time, and restoring only one will lead to a fail.
