Hacking Question before buying Acekard and DSI

Hello, I am new to DSi and Acekard.

My friend told me the best card around is Acekard, so I am planning to buy one.

Will it work, if I buy a DSi now, in store, and use an Acekard?

You'll have to either A) buy it updated to 1.4 compatible or B) update it with a ds lite of phat

There's no firmware 1.5. I don't know about the site

I think you mean AKAIO 1.5, their is actually AKAIO 1.6 RC1 (AKAIO is an Acekard alternative firmware) Yes you have to use some sort of work around

EDIT: I think leetmod is legit but try one of the Gbatemp sponsers, they are proven to be legit.

You have to buy an acekard 2i, which is the acekard that is compatible with dsi's and dsi xls. Here's a few places where you can get one.

Most places have already flashed the card to work on firmware 1.4 to work on dsi's. I recommend you get yourself a microsdhc card too, class 4 or 6 if you can.

Each one of those stores that i listed sells genuine acekard 2i's at a pretty low price. I got mine from simply mods in less than 3 days, so I would recommend them. The other ones are highly reputable and respected as well though.

Currently only 1.4 exists, and simplymods.com flashes it for you so its one less step you have to take to get it working on a dsi. Any site gbatemp recommends sells real quality acekard 2i's, so no need to worry.
