Hacking Question about GBA games interacting with diamond/pearl

I was wondering if it's still necessary to get an EZ 3 in 1 to do this or if there was some way to do it with the supercards CPU that's been revealed since i've stopped paying attention to these things. If not, that's kewl i'll just order one. Just wanted to be sure.

you need the 3 in 1 or the gba game. the extra cpu cant do it so sorry.
