It means that you didn't install NX-FPS properly or you are playing incompatible game.
254 overall means "SaltyNX works, but NX-FPS wasn't detected in game"

I checked again my SD card...and you're right : NX-FPS.elf was missing.
(i was pretty sure i checked before but reality was different
