Hacking Question about file types.

I've been lurking around the forums and finally decided to make an account for Wii hacking. Now that I am buying a NDS Lite, I am also buying an AceKard since it seems to be the best flash card in terms of bang for your buck. Needless too say, I can be considered a newbie on flashcards.

I know that it can support .mp3 files for audio, but I am wondering what type of video files are compatible with the AceKard? I haven't been able to find anything except that the AceKard supports .TXT files and .MP3 files. I am pretty sure it supports video files, as I have seen someone play some, but I just need to know what format of video I would need to use to make it work.

I will be using AKAIO v1.4.1 on my AceKard when it comes in the mail, by the way.

It would also be nice if I could find someone with Windows Live/Skype who could guide me throughout the whole process.

acekard doesn't support movies as far as i know.
you can boot moonshell and convert movies to dpg files.
moonshell can have some problems with booting.
if you have trouble with booting moonshell, you can try booting it in akaio.

there is much information about it on te forum and such. but there is a lot information about it so I don't have the time for it to explain it all.
this is a basic little info text, I hope I helped you a little with your question/problem

AKAIO and the official firmware cant load video files like it can load .txt and .mp3
You have to use moonshell to watch videos on the acekard.

AKAIO 1.4 has plugins which play

.dsm and .avi video files(dsmplay and tuna-vids)

and mp3 music files(lmp-ng)

(there will be no plugins in 1.5)

If you want to make your own themes download the theme creator from HERE

It says for AK rpg and AK2 but i think Ak2i use the same themes as AK2 ( You didnt specify what AK you have)

Im buying a AK2. But would these skins I make work with AKAIO? I already made one, but I have noticed that the AKAIO skins don't use the uisettings.ini. Will the skins that I make with the theme creator work with AKAIO?

Yes, it all works in AKAIO.

Most themes work fine with AKAIO but one or two are a little off (borders not lining up, touch buttons not working)
