Gaming Queries into installing NUS files onto Wii U

I have a query. Is installing a NUS file using WUP Installer GX2 the same as loading an actual WUP file? Or is there some other methods I have to use before the NUS files are ready for installation? If anyone can help me with this, I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm sure somebody else who knows more than me will chime in if I am wrong... but my understanding is each and every NUS release is packaged as a WUP file structure; this could be a game, an update, DLC, apps, DRC firmware.etc

With WUP Installer GX2, say if you had something like Mario Kart 8 then I'd expect there would be the main game, an update and then the optional DLC and you'd install all 3 in that case.

It is worth also noting that in 2024 the recommendation would be to use NUSSpli as opposed to WUP Installer GX2, with the 1 exception being I personally still prefer the latter when you have a folder full of WUPs you want to batch install like I did recently for a bunch of custom WiiVC GameCube forwarders - but for pretty much anything else, you should be using NUSSpli especially if you use Aroma.
