Hi GBAtemp. The title is probably misleading.

My current 3DS (rxTools, FW7.2) is carrying a 2GB SD card, which for now, is enough for me. I already ordered a 32 GB SD card, so I was wondering if I am able to just copy and paste all the files from one SD card to the other without fucking anything up.

Not sure if you can but you could make an image of the first card, flash it to the new card and then expand the partition to the end of the new card with some sort of partition manager

If you are running emuNAND, then no. Look at the sticky entitled "transfer emuNAND between SD cards, now working for new 3ds too!" Or similar. If you have never formatted emuNAND then yes, you can just copy and paste.
