What would be the best possible way to do this? I have SCPH-39001 console if you need to know.

Would a Swapmagic work? Because I'm wondering if that + FMCB would work together on the same system.

The swapmagic equivalent for ps1 is called breaker pro.

There are probably several better alternative to play ps1 games, but if you want to use your ps2 its probably the easiest one..

Have you tried the tissue trick? Although it won't work unless you have at least one working PS1 disc and the ISO has to be burnt to a disc..

You can use a USB drive with PS2PSXe, this is emulation though so it's not perfect, however some games run well.

Put in a PlayStation game, and after the PlayStation logo appears, quickly swap out the real game with the backup.

Don't waste your money on swap magic or braker pro. Have someone install a chip that has the Matrix Infinity Firmware 1.93.
With a modchip you will be able to play PSone, PS2 disc without swapping disc. You will also be able to play PAL games in Full Screen and Color.
I do install and have feedback in several site
here is a picture of my work

LCD/TFT don't emit light on their own, they just filter color they have to have a backlight. LED/OLED panels emit light.

Backlight can be one giant light panel with a diffusor, but recently there's mini/micro LED backlighting, where you can control the light level for smaller areas of the screen, to get better contrast and color range.
  • ZeroT21 @ ZeroT21:
yeah, lots of lcd panel tech usually have the dead backlight issue making owners think it's completely dead

And those backlights can get burn-in themselves.
