I have a series of image files that are in the .psv format. Is there any way to covert them to vpk?
The .psv file format is basically a raw cartridge dump, if I remember rightly. I imagine the contents of the .psv (especially the executable) will be encrypted so you wouldn't be able to even open and decrypt them, let alone convert to a .vpk.
It's also worth noting that VPKs are just zip archives with a renamed file extension, and the contents of the vpk are completely unencrypted, making the .psv and the .vpk formats completely different to the point that a converter is just out of the question.
As a result, there aren't any such tools that you are looking for at the moment. Sorry about that.
figured it was something bad since my searches turned up nothing...no big deal.....dumping all our carts will fill up the 32gb anyway
