The DS has a take on pstros https://pdroms.de/nintendods/pstros-nds-v0-7-1-j2me-emu-for-nds and also https://pdroms.de/nintendods/java4nds-r2-nds-misc

For the GBA the best you are going to get is something like https://www.gbadev.org/demos.php?showinfo=923

No chance of being able to play old J2ME games or something on the GBA unless they were ported (a few homebrew people did some stuff, more for the DS though, and some of them also saw versions on the GBA, though they will often be quite different). I would doubt the GBA has enough power and memory to do it properly.

J2ME stuff is not my area of expertise (my main experience in them is ignoring the adverts featuring them on MTV back in the day). If the trailer for the PSP version is anything to go by then it seems like a slight twist on marble madness. While DS homebrew does have a spectacular piece of homebrew called Marble ( https://www.gamebrew.org/wiki/Marble ) the GBA commercial effort (part of a double pack with Klax) is not good at all. The GBA version of monkey ball is surprisingly good though -- most people think "3d on the GBA?" and then dismiss it, which works most of the time but here you would be missing something. If you want to dip down into the GB/GBC then marble madness there is worth a look, and obviously you can emulate the NES if you want. If you are going to do the NES version then do remember to pick up a copy of https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/3338/ while you are at it.

I should also say if you like that sort of thing then if you have not checked out kuru kuru kururin also on the GBA then you should.

Back on topic I would not expect any kind of meaningful J2ME experience on the GBA. I had not heard of JEMBlazer/JAMiD but looking it up ( https://web.archive.org/web/20070106121040/http://www.jemblazer.com:80/index.htm https://www.reddit.com/r/emulation/comments/88b90k/jemblazerjamid_jflame_by_ajile_systems_obscure/ ) the first thing I see is that it has its own onboard CPU/java interpreter and uses the GBA as little more than a screen and controls. I had not known such a thing was made for the GBA (we had seen it on other things, and have seen it plenty of times since on newer consoles and things made recently for older ones) so thanks for that.

Too old? OK. I don't think games can be too old to be like others.

DOS Advance. Never heard of it before, and I would like to think I would have if it was real.

Even if it was though then we barely got 286 emulation going on when a DOS emulator was made for the DS https://dsx86.patrickaalto.com/

to marble madness, yes it is too old, Mercury Meltdown (J2ME) has many Puzzle Objects, 50 levels and many other stuff,

for dosadvance, i dont care for this, i have an ds too, but mercury meltdown j2me or air strike winged outrage j2me would be damn awesome
