Looks like I didn't extracted the extra data correctly, this time I used Checkpoint and copied the files to the user/arc folder like you said, and it worked, I managed to load my save. Thanks very much!

Now, do you know a way to make the special stages work in the emulator? I got the traditional message "Your system time was changed..."
That requires hex editing, in a way which is hard to explain. Unless you happen to somehow know what offset your 3DS is set to.

EDIT: It turns out, I actually don't know how to deal with this as well as I originally expected. So in otherwords, I definitely can't explain this, because I just encountered a file I can't undo the lock out on.

I very much doubt that. There's definitely ways to cheat on mobile, but not with a save editor.
It was 2013-2014, so I can't quite remember if you had to download files and replace them in your phone, like it was with several other games, both online and offline, or if the IPA was already modified.
But yeah, it was possible. Guess you just learned something new.

That doesn't sound like a save editor to me. That sounds like directly hacking the app, which isn't what PSSE is.
