...well, really, though, I really see no chance, whatsoever of Sony releasing a PSP2 within the next few years. It'd be a really bad move to release the Go, then suddenly abandon it in favour of a next-gen piece of hardware. It'd be just like Nintendo suddenly saying that the DSi was a failure, and that they're gonna go and release a DS2 in a year. It wouldn't really work.

Sony wants to cash-in on the bigtime DS money? The PS2 has the best library since the SNES.
Yes. Portable PS2. If that means some variant of a PSP, so be it, but Give me two analog sticks (nubs, if you must) and all triggers, and we'll be good to go. Repackage the shame games as DLC, make it affordable ($5 for shovelware, $10 for AAA titles) and go nuts. I'd buy two.

I'd buy one if it let me take my current PS2 games, dump them, and than place them on my memory stick without having to re-buy them from the PSN.

Sony isn't going to give you a helping hand to dumping them, but you better believe that one PS2 games become available on the PSN network, that someone will reverse engineer the packing of those files to make ISOs work with the PSP2 Portable.

this just might turn into the unhackable PS3
with a quad-core, they are probably gonna dedicate one core to system security and leave the other 3 for developers and such

Can't the owners of the PSP Go! take it to a store and get their UMDs converted into a digital format for them to use on the PSP Go!? I thought I read that somewhere, maybe not. Would be great if it was something like that though.

I think thats just an idea someone had. I recall some site mentioning that Sony failed to mention how previous PSP owners would get their UMDs on the PSPgo at E3. Then again its been nearly a month. Having to take your UMDs to a store to convert them sounds like a pain for anyone with alot of UMDs. Luckily for most the PSP doesn't have many games worth purchasing. I just had to say it.

I call bullshit. PSPGo! isn't there yet.

Besides, if its' true, then it's gonna be a huge and overpriced (I see it being 400-500$, easily).

It would be like with Sega, constantly releasing add-ons, upgrades and new consoles.
