But I was just on wikipedia and it says that Firmware 6.30 Silently patched the Datel Cheat Device.

Never trust Wikipedia.
Pandora will always work on fully hackable motherboards.

Edit: Wait, you're not talking about pandora batterys.
That's another fail thing that isn't needed.

I'm mainly getting it for Homebrew

The entire earthbound series can be played on the PSP flawlessly, but on my DSi EB has jacked up layering and sound. And 3D Kinda makes me dizzy.

Back on Topic, Anything to stay away from? I'll be getting it off of Ebay, and there are lots of PSP's which have Sticky Analog sticks. Is this easy to fix?

I personally like 1st-Hand hand-helds, 2nd-hand home consoles are alright but i don't want a hand-held that have been in someone elses greasy hands, that's just me though.

I'm suggesting you stay away from any broken PSPs unless you have expertise in fixing consoles. Last thing I want is for you to spend your hard earned cash on a system, try to fix it, and end up borking it for good. Unless you find one with a broken UMD drive and don't plan on buying any games, that may be worthwhile.

Just try to get a lightly used PSP 1000, they're quite easy to find on Amazon. I got mine for $130 with the system in good condition (minor scuffs and scratches, everything worked, etc) with a 4GB memory stick and USB/charger cable included. It'd also be smart to buy a large memory stick (4GB is a good minimum although 8GB+ is suggested for piracy) and a Pandora battery (even if you buy one that's already modded/modable it's a nice utility to keep around just in case).

Man, You got a really good deal

And I will stay away from broken PSP's. I don't have the tools nor Expertise needed to fix them. psp hunting here I come. XD

if I can locate the box (containing the ac adapter, spider-man movie umd and demo umd), I'd be willing to sell you my extra psp-1000 for $150 (plus shipping). it still looks like as if it was just pulled out of the packaging (brand new), will no dead/stuck pixels, 5.00 M33-6 CFW on it and has had a brando full-face screen protector on it since launch. I'll throw in a sandisk 4GB memory stick pro duo as well.

Eh... $150 for a used 1000 + 4gb is a little steep. Now, if that were a used fully hackable LIMITED EDITION 2000...
