Gaming psp photo folder help

Hi All,

I have a psp and am having trouble viewing photos on my psp.
I have the folder like:

PSP > PHOTO (photo in here i can not view on psp)

The photo is a jpeg photo and im really not sure why i cant view it.
Also to change firmware do i require a phat battery or the datel battery or can it be done without them?

Also do i require a psp > usb cable when using programs like psp media manager or can i do the same via wireless?
