you need the magic memory stick in order to make use of the pandora battery (the battery only puts the PSP into service mode, the magic memory stick contains all the files you need to install the custom firmware).

You don't need soldering to Hard-mod a Phat battery. Just follow this tutorial. Then use the method of creating the MS from here. To ensure that you successfully hard-modded the battery, put it into the PSP battery slot. If the PSP powers on without you touching the On switch, then you did it.

Seriously, it's the only route possible for you right now unless you know someone who has a psp running custom firmware.

No! Download the Total Newbie Installer (more about it here) and you do not need a PSP (at all, if you have a MS-USB thing). It may be "illegal" but you're gonna be using your PSP for illegal purposes anyway.

Curently i have 1 soldered battery, what shall i do next? where can I get the latest pandora files for phat?and procedure shud I make to install the pandora software and then install the latest hacked firmware?
