PSP Phat Regular 3.90FW

    Ok a friend of mine as a White Phat PSP, with Sony's 3.90 firmware he's looking for a way to crack his PSP in order to play games from teh memory card, where should we start?

    I don't know much about PSP, but wasn't that stuff for the slim PSP?

    I created me a Pandora battery and magic stick... :') and I just got finish moding my cousins days ago and my brother..

    So trust me you will need a Pandora battery

    The thing is, in order to create the magic memory stick, you need access to an already modded PSP.

    then how did the first phat PSP got modded? :\ that makes not much sense to me

    some people could of had firmware 1.50, which allows homebrew. I bought my psp on ebay with firmware 1.50. At the time I bought my psp, Pandora battery did not exist but custom firmware did.

    You can make a pandora by cutting one of the legs on the battery's PCB. And, if I remember correctly, the first PSP hack was a a .TIFF image exploit that downgraded from FW2.0 to 1.5.

    EDIT: Change "mod" to "hack".

    ive foudn lots of tutorials on how to mod slim batteries but none for the phat on :|

    Any old wire should work. I would use a wire from an IDE cable.

    well i soldered it and the PSP still turn on with the battery does that mean i was sucessful?

    it should show the pandora menu or something if you have a pandora memory stick in.
