Another PSP problem. (I'm getting tired of them.) So I got a new laptop, has Vista OS installed on it. I connect my PSP to the laptop but it says that I don't have the drivers so I'm unable to connect it. I've searched and I can't find a solution to this problem. Can someone please give me some assistance?

More information would be nice. What type of PSP, does it have CFW, what version of Vista, etc? Do other USB devices work fine? do they work fine with the same USB cable?

I had a ton of trouble with mine initially, and it turned out to be a flaky USB cable

cable worked for absolutely everything else, just not the psp

A slim PSP, CFW 4.01 M33-2, Windows Vista Home Premium.

Is USB charging turned on? Try turning it off before attempting to connect.

Oddly enough I have a similar problem, except my PSP works fine on my Vista laptop, but when connected to my XP computer it doesn't work. Same cable, tried on all USB ports, it just can't find the drivers. I figured it would be a corrupt driver issue so I've tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling them, but that didn't work, might work for you though. I still haven't been able to solve it either.
