PSP not reading memory stick

My PSP with CFW won't read the memory stick, can someone help me?

Are you using one of those PSP microSD adapters? You'll need to format the SD card to FAT32; anything that is exFAT or NTFS does not work.

I'm not using an adapter, I have the original 4gb memory stick pro duo

Does the light flicker for a few seconds when you turn it on and then every second or so?

Yes it does, I can't understand if it's a hardware issue or a software issue

Probably hardware, that's what I get on a 2000 that has been thrown at a wall too many times...
