Hardware PSP Keeps rebooting (standby or turning on)

I have this problem on my PSP-1000 where whenever I'm playing a game, and I had to put my PSP on standby mode to run some errands. And when I came back and turn it on again, the PSP will reboot (show the PSP logo) making me lose my game.

Whenever I turn it off on the menu (when choosing game), and I turn it on, the PSP logo still shows up and it reboots again. Is there something I can do to fix this?

I had this same problem. You'll want to replace the battery.

I replaced my battery, I actually bought a new battery for my PSP. But the problem still exists. It's that 3.6v 1800 mAh battery that I got.

Does this happen when you take the battery out and plug it directly in the wall?

I tried it just now. No battery, and I play the PSP directly on the charger and it still happens. Why is that?
