Gaming PSP help

Ok so my step brother wants me to put custom firmware on his psp like mine but the problem is i cant figure out how to cause my psp i ordered came with the firemare already on there so i got the mms and the pandora battary from mine and ive tried following tuts on here but went i go to boot holdinh left trigger it does nothing.

His system info says his software is ver 6.31 if that helps any.

Read the FAQ. Pandora only works on older PSP models.

Ok i read on the back of the psp amd it says psp3001 so mb thats the problem.... lol can that be hacked still?

Not with custom firmware, no.

Non-kernel hack HEN will work, though. I've got it on my PSP and it's great.

Yes, read the FAQ, you can update to 6.35 and use the HEN.
