to answer your question, it is entirely possible right now, but it would be incredibly slow, and it would need a lot of polish and optimization. but now that we have overclocking and a dynarec, an emulator has the possibility to pop up within the year. but it'll be like the DS emulators: slow, unoptimized, and strictly "proof of concept" for a long time. But that's only if you want the emulator to run in horizon. in lakka it is fairly decent, but with retroarch being ported to the switch, a lot of people are looking to phase out the need for lakka entirely.
