Hacking psp doesn't charge while on

I can charge the psp when it's off, but when I turn it on the light turns to green and the status changes to external... Should I replace the power socket?

no. Switch is on... but I'm not actually using wifi. Anyway, tried it with it off and it still failed.

krap psp can stop charging.... so it may be a plugin...... load into official firmware if possible (6.XX firmware can be loaded with the press of the home/PS button whilst booting up the psp)

if that fails then by all means post more info.... anything can help if we know more....

I think it may be that the battery is too drained. I'll let it charge and we'll see the results.

Edit: turns out its the charger.. I need a new one, and I just bought it >.>

2K+ models have a USB charge option so check with it plugged in and on...

Option is in recovery menu

When im on ADHOC party on my PS3 and try to charge the psp, the indicator wont show that im charging the PSP but it is charging even if it isnt showing. You should check if that is in your case too. Play until it warns about low battery and goes to sleep mode. Then plug in the charger and play another 5-10 min and see if it turns off. If it doesnt turn off, then the charger is working.
