Is copping out one of those weird british words like "trainers"?

It's English, learn the language you are speaking.

NO, you are reading it wrong, midna was meaning to ask if it's a british term and it's something like 'cut and run'
xist just didn't want to seem rude and run out before he'd finished the job but it was after 12 our time

you m3rox should learn to read and not jump down people's throat's for asking

Well your PSP should have been ok with Hellcat's app since you'd have been in a 3.xx/4.xx/5.xx kernel. However since it didn't work out, and you have a phat psp, take a look at this instead.

I tried that, and just like everything else, I get a black screen when trying to boot the recovery eboot.

As for your Jig-Kit question ... yes it is possible to both turn your battery into one with a second psp and to have a battery in "service" mode to be used as a regular battery ... Search for dax's Time machine and Despertar del Cementerio "universal unbricker"

1. Remove the Memory stick and the battery

2. Plug the charger and connect it with the psp.

3. While it's connected. turn it on. it should work fine now.

4. Do not Turn off. insert the battery and the memory stick again.

5. problem solved.
