hi i m in the market to get a new/used psp, able to CFW, either 3000 or the go.

Which one is better for these purpose?
the differences i can make is that 3000 has bigger screen and takes UMD.

But if i CFW then i dont really need UMD as i can play all my friends backup iso games and or purchase online with GO right?

Any opionions? experiences to decide?

The Go was considered useless for a long time by the general public, but as far as the hacking scene goes now that it can have CFW installed people like it since that removes it's one major weakness (lack of games that were UMD-only, since not all are available via PSN).

I would go GO if you can get a decent price.
Since it has nice internal storage

i have a psp 3000 with 6.20 pro.
only reason why i say go got for the go is because of the onboard storage. if that wasn't there go for the 3000. i have heard stories about the ribbon in the slider though.

I personally think the GO has a better Screen than the 3000, althought it is smaller.

I have 9 PSP, at least one in each series (1000, 2000, 3000, GO) excluding the new Euro one and 3000 has the worst screen of them all, for my personal opinion at least

The GO if you tend to travel alot.
The 3000 if you tend to use it for home use only and no intentions of putting it in your pocket.
I would go for the GO though as it holds internal storage which saves you moeny for buying more storage. But if the price of a 3000 is cheaper with the total storage of 32GB or more, then i would say go for the 3000- series.

The go is awesome. It has a brighter screen, is more portable. I have 22 movies, 17 PSP games and about 130 arcade games and I still have space to spare. The 16GB M2 was only £18 and runs quite fast.

** The M2 seems to have slow sequential transfer speeds when compared to an SD card but the random access speeds never drop as low as the SDs making it good for games **

I had the same problem a time ago, and i went with the PSP go. It is smaller, better screen (in my oppinion), internal memory, bluethoth..
And for me it is more sexy...

For me the PSP go is better.

Go looks uncomfortable to me. If I had to buy a new PSP I'd probably go with another 2000 if I could find a deal on it, unless the 3000 can do perma CFW now

Yep, new 3k models can perma now. BTW the PSPgo is pretty sexy if you intend to hack it.
You can play games like BBS and Crisis Core that were never on the PSN Store.

for about 40 bucks i got myself 2x16 gb micro sd cards and a fake cr-5400 dual slot adapter. I ran a test on the psp to see the speeds it gave me it showed over 16Mbs read and about 7 write. Beats having 16 gb internal. Have no slow down even with .cso.

one thing i likes about the 3000 is that the battery can be change in a second or so, so if you keep a spare more playing time. psp go has an internal battery. I duno the psp go battery life span though.
also the umd door i made a case that can hold 2 memory stick pro cards, and i slides them in the umd slot.
and the psp 3000 had a mini usb cord.
The PSP Go has Bluetooth.
