PSP 2000 USB port

    hello the usb port on my psp 2001 has broken. the hole middle and all the prongs that connect to the motherboard have broken off and fallen out. is this possible to be fixed and if so where can i find a tutorial or replacement parts? thanks a million

    I would assume that you would have to replace the motherboard, which I doubt is possible.

    you can replace the motherboard. it would probably be pretty expensive though. almost as much as a used PSP would cost im betting.

    Is it not possible to solder a new USB port to replace the old one? That is assuming you have enough experience as an electrician to unsolder the old one and find a new one to solder.

    is the usb port just soldered on to the main board, or does it seem more permanently affixed?
