I've heard a few people restoring from a semi-brick with a NAND backup causing a full brick. I don't know if they used someone else's NAND or what.

Unless you're stupid with your PSP, you don't need Pandora/MMS/NAND backup.
I had a 1000 for ages and I never once got a semi/full brick. Didn't even have a Pandora.
Plus I updated to 5.50 GEN-C (I loved GEN-C

I've never needed my NAND, but I still decided to make the backup. It's better to make one and never need it than the reverse.

But yes, on a permanent CFW then there's no need to keep any of the files on the stick.

Assuming all installed alright, welcome to the GEN world.

btw... I'm having this one problem if anyone has a solution that would be great. I have the WLan switch on, I scan then enter my wep key for my settings and skip through all the other ones because they are set on automatic. I test connection, but i keep getting "The attempt to obtain the IP address timed out" (theres no error code #). How do I fix this? I don't want to change to WPA because I still want to play DS games wifi (it's too time comsuming to switch back from wpa to wep, vise versa)

I have a Belkin Wireless-G if that helps.

Set everything up manually...enter all the DNS, Network and security settings yourself rather than relying on a scan.

Thanks is there a way to show those on command on computer? I remember it's something config :l (including the dns and ssid cause last time i tried no ssid)

Just get your IP from like here
Enter your IP address differently, like your IP address is XXX.XXX.XXX.XX change to any number at the last two digits.
Default Router and Primary DNS should be the same as your IP address and you should be sorted.

Wait what you mean for change ip adress differently? Its XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX and change last two? So XXX.XXX.XXX.X?? (? is last two random).

Thanks

EDIT: Still fails :@ and when it showed all the stuff it said channel 3. Does that have to do with anything?

Just change the last three to '9' or something.
