Hardware psp 1001 by usb?

i got a cord from ebay today with two ends. one end has a charger that can charger ability, and the other has a hook up to transfer files to the memory card.

just wanting to be safe and know if anyone else has used one of these cords to charge their psp.

i plugged my psp with the cord for a second or two and it did set off the charging light.

I haven't used one of those, but the PSP can charge via USB just fine in most cases.

i think you're right. youtube has a mod where you can hard wire the file transfer port to charge your psp. i'm going to go ahead with charging the psp via usb.

i wonder if i can charge and transfer files at the same time?

I don't think you need a mod to do that

You do for the 1000 IIRC, but like I said in most cases it works just fine.

using the charger and transfer cables at the same time works with the cable mentioned.
