Hacking psp 1000 japanese region bricked

hi so i bought a psp not knowing it was bricked.
ive tried entering recovery mode (r button when booting and also r + home button) but ive had no luck.
when i turn the psp on i get the sony logo then a white screen.
i dont have another psp and im not sure if its possible to fix which is why i came here

Either try factory resetting it via holding all the face buttons or get a pandora batt.

If that's the case, you need a Pandora battery to recover the OS.
