PSN is down!

Judging from the reactions here many people didn't know this was scheduled. Sony should announce stuff like this earlier.

Hmm my download speed is fine, it takes about 5-10 minutes to download stuff from PSN for me. When it's a firmware update it take like 20-30 minutes though which is just too long.

Parts of it are back up for me. I'm able to sign in now, but the Playstation Store isn't working.

Well there's still another 5-6 hours scheduled before it goes back up, and if you can get on now, you won't be able to access account management or the store etc.

Yeah, i can get on PSN.. sign in and shit...

But the store says it not available in my region.

FFIX is out.. at least in the EU PSN store

so it'll probably be in the US one as well

and i dont have any problems with downloading speeds either... its a little slower then my pc downloads but regular demo's (1~2GB-ish) take somewhere like 10 minutes or so.. weird that so much people have slow download speeds

i guess the developer would say perfective maintanence... good to know
or possibly a problem with the transfer handling ie. load handling and redirection (fancy words)
most as ppl said, maximize real internet bandwidth

Well, that sucks. But it's not like I'd use it anyway, since I only have a hacked PSP and PSN is blocked on it

(And before you ask, yes, I know about those PSN Enablers, but I'm too lazy to install one

Same here.

And my guess is that it's probably either including some updates/blocks, or perhaps it was just unexpected downtime.
