FAT32 is the problem

Files over 4GB can't be read/written

PS3 HD is FAT32

Anything over 4GB is failing on external because of the fat32 format I'm assuming? Can the PS3 read/write to other formats?

Uhh but what format if the PS3s HDD? It can't be FAT32 if it's dumping games to the internal...

They didn't announce it, some french site said that got it from some unnamed source that said they got it from elsewhere.

Oops. Sorry. Since that french site is a serious site, I thought that it was someting official/confirmed...

They said they got it from somebody else that got it from somebody else. When it gets to the "friend of a friend" thing, credibility goes out the window.
