PSFreedom Dingoo
PS3 Jailbreak now on the Dingoo
sony_playstation_3.jpg

The PS3 Jailbreak exploit has been ported to the Dingoo. The enhanced Dingux image, once installed, allows the Dingoo a320 to act as the PS3 Jailbreak dongle. For more information check the source page, linked below.

Special thanks to Pendor, via IRC, for the news!

well musclenerd has recently posted a vid on youtube showing that it is possible to control usb output from iDevice as PoC that a psgroove/psfreedom port is possible
maybe you were thinking of recent doubts that a psp port was possible?

if this gets worked on for the a330 (which i'm sure it will) this will be a reason to buy the a330. keep it around as a portable console with the optional controller and as a ps3 jailbreak dongle! if only you could pick up the a320 for under $30. this is a great thing but the a320 is still around $80 and when the dongle is fully cloned it might be possible to pick it up for next to nothing.

If it can be ported to psp, my psp will have reason!!

Also... I will need to know this is safe since my PS3 was expensive. I don't wanna break it

And just when Shoptemp sells out of Dingoo A320s....
its back in stock mate

does shoptemp mind slow, crappy e-checks or would i be better off to transfer to my paypal balance beforehand and then purchase a dingoo?
i went the echeck option with the scds2 but i thought that was a safe bet due to it being a pre-order

edit: now that i mention it, our dollar is at like 0.91 usd so i guess now would be a great time to buy regardless

What? Hardware-wise, all you need is full control over USB, something that jailbroken iDevices are perfectly capable of. The only possible issue I can see with a non-Linux device is that the source would take some work to port rather than a simple recompile, but even that wouldn't be impossible, just time consuming.

Oh. I get it!

PS groove = homebrew/no picracy

PS freedom = piracy/homebrew!

Am i correct?

Also.. is this safe? can it brick my PS3?

PSFreedom for Dingoo

ported by Waninkoko

+--------+
STEPS:
+--------+

1. Place the zImage file in your mini-SD card (important: choose the one that works with your LCD screen!!).
2. Run Dingux and wait for the kernel to boot completely.
3. Now your Dingoo behaves like the PSJailbreak device!!

+--------+
NOTES:
+--------+

The patch for the kernel is included in the "kernel-patch" folder. The patch has been created to be
applied on the top of the opendingux 2.6.35 kernel tree.

Which LCD screen version is/was the Shoptemp one?

Maybe I'm not doing it right (or this is based off of the one that doesn't allow for it) but there's no backup manager\method of installing backup manager when I use this.

if you make it to a jailbreak device , can the dingoo still play games?
Yes.

Yes.
did you remember to remove powercord, wait 5-10 seconds, plug back in, insert dingoo, power on followed quickly by reset button?
(in that order)

Yeah, I did that. Nothing seems to happen.

Am I supposed to have something on the Dingoo apart from the zImage? Where is the .pkg file supposed to go?
