Guarantee people are freaking out because sciresM did not specifically mention if offline was safe or not just displayed the facts. But pretty sure you're right, emuNAND airplane mode...

But you need to update the emunand via online so the airplane mode will be just for playing games?

Well wouldn't it be possible to change the console Id(an invalid one) with cfw so that the original ID remains protected against bans? I know the original one is hard-coded but maybe redirect it

Well looks like I'm going for that 1.0.0 console I saw. I'm guessing that personal backups wouldn't be affected as long as the cert is dumped with it. I'm never going to test it though. I'm gonna keep that console offline forever and enjoy my current switch once I get it updated:)
Just because you got the cert doesn't mean you are safe. It's fully possible they got more info that your dump is a cart, yet it's ran from a source that isn't a cart.

So downgrade and emunand are also very dangerous since during the device authentication token, the version is sent to Nintendo. So it is a risk to go online with an older version of the switch if you already went online with a newer one.

Yeah that's highly likely. Everyone needs to be really careful. That's also another reason why it's important to keep a NAND backup of your old and newer firmware if you used the update method that doesn't burn your fuses. Don't want to ask for a firmware update from an older version twice.

Well the end of the post it say this:

In the gamecard case, Nintendo can detect whether or not the user connecting has data from a Nintendo-authorized gamecard for the correct title. This solves the 3ds-era issue of gamecard header data being shared between games. Additionally, there's a fair amount of other, unknown (encrypted) data in a certificate being uploaded -- and certificates are also linked to Nintendo Accounts when gold points are redeemed. Sharing of certificates should be fairly detectable, for Nintendo.

but isnt the save of the backup loaded game in fortnite's files
From the LayeredFS tutorial topic:
A donor title is the application we will run to open the backup.
Pick a game you don't care about (Download a Demo or a free game from eShop, for example Octopath Demo)
saves are something no one knows much about, we don't fully know where or how they are stored.
They might overwrite the donor titles save, so seriously pick a game you DONT care about, not a game you rarely play.
We don't know yet if you can be banned for this.

I'm not interested in piracy for the switch, I have a job, so I'll buy all the games I want (it wasn't the case for my 3DS, I had no money).
I even pre-ordered the collector of Octopath Traveler
The only thing that's interesting for me, is the homebrew launcher with save backup/restore tools and emulators (and maybe a future mediacenter for mp4/mkv), but I'm waiting a bit, even if it's just homebrews, I'm a bit scared about an online ban.
