I don't know about regular, retail games, but I think you have to be signed in when in dev mode for the dev packages to work. not really a big deal for me, but that sort of thing isn't very reliable for many. hopefully, sony doesn't implement something similar with the ps6, or there will probably be no homebrew.

Just saw on Wololo that the ps5 horizon bundle was shipped with FW 4.5. I thought mine was on 5.0

How can you tell for sure? It was plain and simple on the ps4...

It's a possibility that they ship with 4.50 there are mixed reports, some are lower, and some are higher.

You probably need an older batch, hard to tell without a database.

yeah, but I don't remember the site. it will tell you when the system was manufactured, so unless it was updated by someone, it should have lower firmware. I think the cut off is like a year ago, so good luck finding a new one that hasn't been sold for a year. your best bet would probably be a bundle, which may force you to pay more.

You can use this site, but you need really old batch like from last October.

unfortunately, I think the only way to get lower firmware is to buy used. 4.03 is like a year or more old. and, considering that ps5s sell out quickly, I think it may be impossible to get a new one with that low of firmware.

I found a CFI 1016A new / unboxed, waiting for the delivery (should come
next week, coming from UK), will report the firmware
