Hi! Can someone please shed a light on the situatuon?
I have this problem with artifacting/flickering/whatever this is on a PS5 lauch model. It happens very rarely (maybe once a month) and if I restart the console, it goes away. I've tried different tv ports, hdmi cable, restarting tv itself, changing resolution, turning hdr/vrr on and off, nothing seems to help. Sometimes, the sound breaks as well (sometimes only sound), like shown in the video. It's happened both in ps4 and ps5 games.
The problem with artifacting started to appear when I bought an LG C1. My previous TV didn't have hdr, vrr or 120hz. Although, the problem with sound did appear on my old tv couple of times. At first I thought it was a software bug, but now I think it is hardware. Maybe the console or hdmi chip heats up more with these features and that's the result?
Has anyone run into the same problem? I don't have a warranty anymore, so I have to buy a new PS5?
My other consoles never had this issue (Xbox Series X, PC, Switch, etc), so I guess it can't be TV.
Thank you in advance!
