Hacking PS4 says version 5.05 - Help Please!

Hello Tempers,

I installed 4.55 yesterday run update blocker and installed some PKGs. Today morning i woke up ran the exploit, played some games and tried to run dumper. This is where things get weird. It says im on ver 5.05....i check settings and yeah that's the case. How though, i ran update blocker, ran PS4 hen and even played my PKGs!

Is there something i can do to resolve this? Please help me....

--Update : Sorted it out, i think it has to do with HEN spoofing my PS4 . Thanks for the replies everyone!

System must have found a way to update itself or someone else tinkered with your PS4. There's nothing you can do but wait for a 5.XX kernel exploit to be released. (Hopefully soon, there are PoCs out there just need devs to pick up on it and hopefully find something)

Im still able to install PKGs and run games though....how is that possible?

Turn off your internet router and turn it on?

You have to turn it on anyway sooner or later? And now you started a rumor that your hax still work on latest version and that is very unlikely.

Just booted it up and confirmed it being on 4.55 (thank god!). I tried installing Persona 5 on my PS4, i recon that's what caused this mess. I swear my console said it was on 5.05 in settings though. Beats me, i'm glad things are ok now!

There is a version of HEN specifically for PSVR that spoofs the system version to 5.05. It's not a proper spoof, it only fools the PSVR nothing else.

is this spoofer also going to allow newer games to be installed?

if yes then i will consider staying put on 5.05.
but i would have to give up online playing, i love overwatch.. and i still have over a year of ps+subscription and i also have about 10 full games that i bought from psn , now i have a question I'm curious about, what would happen to my psn games and saves if i were to use that hen hax on my 5.05 (when/if it comes out).

will i still be able to use it but risk ban?
and also, how stable is that debugging menu installing pkgs and playing some of the backups, do they run well and does saving etc. work fine ?

i might consider not updating anymore.
